Edakkal cave in Wayanad is believed to be from 5000 BC time period and has inscriptions on the wall of the Cave. The cave is formed by two massive stones and is about 96 ft long. Inside the cave, you will see carvings everywhere which were made by humans of that time, and mostly the animal and human carvings are done. There is no direct way for vehicles to reach so you need to trek for 45 minutes to reach the cave and at the entrance, you can buy tickets.

9. Swim in Beautiful Waterfalls

Soochipara Falls is one of the largest waterfalls in Kerala and is a major tourist attraction. It is easily reachable by vehicles but from 2 km from the waterfall, there is no way for vehicles so we need to walk to the waterfall. The waterfalls from 300 meters in height and forms a pool on the base which is ideal for swimming. You need to hire a guide if you reach in the monsoon season. At the entrance, there is a security check as you are not allowed to carry any plastic item.
