It was discovered in 1931 by British Traveller Frank Smith and the peak is at a height of 14,000 feet. The trek of the valley of flowers starts from Govind Ghat and ends at Hemkund Sahib. The Valley of flowers is one of the most beautiful places to visit in Badrinath. Another reason to visit the place is that Lord Hanuman came here to collect the Sanjeevani Buti to cure Laxman. At the park, you will be seeing the rarest species of flowers and the surrounding that the valley has is perfect for photography.

2. Trekking in Badrinath
Neelkanth is a religious peak situated at a height of 6500 meters near the Alaknanda River. For mountain climbing you can contact the Mountaineering Foundation, the committee members will tell you about the charges and requirements.
The trek to Neelkanth starts from Charanpaduka and through the trekking trail, you can see the footprints of Lord Vishnu on a rock. The trek lasts about 4-5 hours and you will be climbing about a height of 4000 meters.

3. River rafting
There is only one place in Badrinath where you can enjoy river rafting which is in Total Tons Tonnage river.
