Kedarnath temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is believed that one who visits the Kedarnath temple gets salvation (Moksha). To reach the temple you need to trek from Gaurikund. During the extreme winter season, the Kedarnath temple remains closed. 

Bhairav Nath temple is dedicated to Bhairav and is one of the popular temples in Kedarnath. It is believed that the temple is guarded by the deity placed in the temple.

Gauri Kund is situated on the bank of the Mandakini river and is a sacred place. The place is also a starting point for the Kedarnath Yatra. Gauri Kund was named after Goddess Parvati and it is believed that here Goddess Parvati did penance to win over Lord Shiv and at this place, Lord Shiva agreed to marry Goddess Parvati. There are many stories of Lord Shiva and Goddess that happened here. 

Near the Gauri Kund, you can also visit the Gauri Kund temple to see the idols of Goddess Parvati, and at Gauri Kund people take a ritual bath to rinse off their sins.
