Chattarkund is famous for its sweet water and is in the center of a dense forest.

The peak can be best viewed from Kausani or during the Roopkund Trek. Trishul peak is so-called because it presents not one but three Himalayan mountain peaks of western Kumaon. It resembles lord Shiva’s famed trident. It forms the southwest corner of the ring of peaks enclosing the Nanda Devi Sanctuary.
