Jolly Buoy Island is completely a plastic-free zone Island and if you wish to visit here then you need to take prior permission from Authority. Once you reach here every plastic item is counted by the authority and you have to pay INR100 for every plastic item. You don’t need to worry about your money they will give you back, once you carry back all poly items and showcase them. We appreciate this initiative by Andaman Authority for a healthy and clean environment and we also request you don’t carry any plastic items with you.

How to reach Jolly Buoy Island

This island is located about away 30km away from Port Blair, near Wandoor Beach. First, you have to travel by road from Port Blair to Wandoor Beach then here you need to take a government ferry and a private boat from Wandoor Beach they will drop you around 20-30 minutes at Jolly Buoy Island. There are many regular government buses and taxis available from Port Blair once you reach Wandoor Beach. Here they also provide information about nearby located islands like Red Skin Island and Viper Island.

If you like to visit here then November-February is the best time to explore this island and the nearby sightseeing of Andaman because during these days we feel chilly and not too cold. In Monson Season is not considered to travel in Andaman because of the heavy waterfall.
